Individual Skills - based on the package you choose, we schedule some gym time with you and film your son/daughter performing individual skills. We film from several different angles so that prospective coaches can get an in depth look at the athletes techniques for a variety of skills sets. (Skill sets - examples, Hitting, Blocking, Serving, etc.)

Need to Know: for standard packages, two hours is allotted to capture the footage that is required. If additional skills sets are purchased, the time required to film will increase. Also, gym fees are not factored into the package price; they are the responsibility of the client.

The client is also required to acquire and organize all support personnel for the shoot. For example, if you are a setter, you need hitters for your video. It will be up to you to contact athletes that can hit a ball and have them show up at your session.

Helpful Hint: if gym fees are involved and you'd like to minimize expense, we can pair you with another client so that fees can be split.

Game Footage - the game footage you select and provide will be enhanced by LPP. Periodically throughout the footage, the athlete will be highlighted so that prospective coaches can follow along easier.

Need to Know: One) can be either from the High School season or the Club season. Two) the footage should be unedited and on Digital Video Cassette. I can also work with 8mm, but not DVD. Three) submit one set (a single game not a match).

Helpful Hint: try to shoot all footage from directly behind the athlete and from a bird's eye vantage point. If there are bleachers on the end lines of the court, go to the highest seat that's located at the center of the court and film from there.

Coaches want to see some mistakes. This is part of the game. They need to see how the athlete reacts when a mistake occurs.

Monologue/Introduction - a 2 to 3 minute interview style clip that will help you stand out while allowing the coach the opportunity to familiarize themselves with you.

Need to Know: the monologue/interview should be a finished or nearly finished product when you supply it to LPP. This section should help the coach remember you.

Helpful Hint: The premise is to let your personality shine through.

Talk about unique experiences, abilities, and what you offer the school or team

Showcase your abilities (do you have a stupid human trick?) Consider putting it in.

All footage should be appropriate (think G rating)

Profile - LPP provides you with a comprehensive profile sheet to fill out. We went to some of the top colleges and utilized their questionnaires, compiling a profile sheet(s) that covers from A to Z.

Need to Know: please take the time to fill in the profile handout thoroughly. The sheets contain all the information coaches need and may help minimize the amount of questionnaires you are required to fill out later.

Helpful Hint: the file is electronic and will be given to you via email. Please fill it out on the computer and send it back via email.

Digital Images - when Menus are created for the DVD, action photos are incorporated… just another way to stand out.

Need to Know: Only digital images will be accepted. Action and portrait photos are acceptable.

Helpful Hint: Include photos that have good views of the athletes face. The more face time, the more likely the coaches are to remember.

Music - LPP makes a 2 - 3 minute preview section for the DVD. During the preview, a song of the client’s choice is added to further personalize the DVD. We also add music to the game footage to help avoid audio distractions that sometimes transpire during the course of a game.

Need to Know: Please send four to five songs of your choice. Designate one song as your choice for the preview. LPP reserves the right to choose songs of their choice. Please email your songs to LPP at lamb@lpphawaii.com. Or you can ask if we have it in the LPP music library already. LPP reserves the right to add or replace songs at our discretion. In other words, we may not use the songs you’ve provided.

Helpful Hint: the song selection should be appropriate.

Ask yourself these questions prior to choosing, "what kind of first impression am I leaving with the coach?" and “will the person watching this video enjoy the song?”
